Others do the work better

She’s been here now for 9 months, she lived in different places and worked for different organisations, so she explains better than me (and with more right to speak) what Cameroonian life is about. I’m still a rookie :)

Just a brief summary: She writes about some major problems in Cameroon, political, economical and the dificulties with foreign aid. A lot of volunteers/organisations are facing the same problems here and she summarizes it well (I must admit), it's interesting to read!

Portugal me falta. Bélgica também, claro (acho que algumas belgas tentam a ler este parto :-p) mas se tu vês estes fotos, podes compreender por que as saudades voltam muito fácil aqui em Camarões! O fim de semana passado nos fomos a Bamenda, uma ciudade a sete horas (no carro) para o norte. O tempo aí estava mais agradável, não tão húmido, e a vegetação estava totalmente diferente que em sud. Habitualmente, a paisagem é verde na estação de chuva, mas agora é seco e dusty (...). Hà muitas arvores de eucalyptus também. Não, não é um espécie autóctone aqui... mas é uma outra causa por que eu lembrei me Portugal :) 

Uma coisa diferente. É fixe, começo a encontrar as português em a lingua Pidgin. Não é muito, so algumas palavras. Por exemplo: “He sabi wok, na?” significa “Ele sabe trabalhar, não é?” e uma criança é um “Pikin”.

Tenho uma pergunta: o que é uma "dache"? Esta palavra exista em português? Pessoas dizem 'I dash you", se eles dão-te uma presente ou um favor. Eu li que este expressão vem da palavra português "dache", mas não posso encontrar o sentido.
